St. Joseph The Worker Day Impact
Every year, the students of St. Joseph’s Catholic School divide into their households and take a day off from their classes to serve in the Greenville community. It’s an awesome opportunity for us to get our hands dirty and put our faith into action through corporal works of mercy.
This year, our students and their household deans provided roughly 130 hours of service at more than 30 locations including:
Monastery of the Poor Clares, St. Mary Magdalen Church and Preschool, Little Steps, McCall Hospice House, Washington Center, Simpsonville Health & Rehab Nursing Home, Second Chances Thrift Store, Serenity Place, YMCA Recreation Center, Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Generous Garden, City of Greenville (Reedy River Cleanup), Homeworks, Catholic Radio Station, Knights of Columbus Hall, Meyer Center for Special Children, Blythe Academy Carnival, Saint Anthony’s Catholic Church and School, Sara Collins Elementary School, Greenville’s Gift, Greenville Humane Society, Red Cross Office, St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, Harvest Hope Food Bank, and Brookdale Greenville.
