Honors Physics Tries New Circuitry Labs

In February, teacher Julie Schroeder attended the American Association of Physics Teachers Conference in Atlanta. At that conference, she learned about many new labs and was excited to bring them back to her students at St. Joe’s! Honors Physics performed a lab using Squishy Circuits, in which students learned about what qualities affect an object’s resistance. Specifically, they observed how the brightness of an LED would change depending on the length or width of the conductive dough used in the circuit. They then did a formal lab write up using their Chromebooks, in which they had to include pictures of their various set ups.
