SJCS Bands Compete in SCISA Music Festival

After a hiatus of several years, we are pleased to announce that 65 SJCS students in two different band groups performed in Columbia this past weekend in the SCISA Music Festival at the USC School of Music. Our sixth grade band received a rating of excellent and our seventh and eighth grade, auditioned only “Festival Band”, received a superior rating. The students, without exception, represented St. Joseph’s Catholic school in an exemplary manner. It was a successful trip highlighted by a stop at the Columbiana Mall food court. The trip was led by Band Director Marjorie Malphrus and chaperoned by Keith Perham. Thank you for your continued support of the music program!
